| The way I see this website is not like a linear, newspaper presentation with hot stories and 'takes' scrolling down the page etc. I think of it as a slow growing organic archive that can be taken as a whole when someone comes across it at whatever point in time, searching thru the different tags, finding things as curiosity might lead them-- giving a random impression of 'The Howling Hex'. That's it's most important function-- to me, at any rate.
But I do think I'll archive all the past rxconor posts and put them on a static webpage that can be accessed by a link on the front page, then remove all the old posts from the linear flow of each subsection.
Then I'll see if I can sort out if it's mostly a real person or mostly us. The most I've ever done is edit the posts, changing a word here & there or adding pictures. Based on that I'll either ban the userID or put a '1 diary per week' limit on it. That will prevent future page flooding.
All that being said, if each person who can post to the front page would do 1 post every week or so then the blog could take on a more contemporaneous purpose, that includes these people:
dynaflex
gsmoss
km
ottomak
panopticpants
ReeL
videowash
chill
ViewsOnNews
mnstrfrc
Otherwise, I'm sure someone will come along to fill the gap-- & that's ok with me, too. |
